There's been so much cross-posting, trolling and negativity on the group recently that I find I'm skipping many threads just to keep on the surface of things. To try and redress the balance and bring back the subject of cycling to URC I thought I'd post about my ride home from work this evening.

It's actually reminded me of something tho - back in '96 I was putting together a proposal for a book consisting of a collection of cycling 'commutes' to work. At that time I was thinking of getting contributions from 'public figures' with any proceeds going to a charity (National Asthma Campaign) - with a move of work etc this was put onto the backburner until it eventually fizzled out.
I still think it's a grand idea - a book on cycling commutes. Would anybody like to help resurrect the idea with me?
Marginally more pleasant than my own commute between Twickenham and Sutton, I think. I used to have a beautiful ride like that when I commuted between Tasta and Tananger in Norway; well, not /exactly/ like that, but YKWIM.
