I was expecting a cycling spec shaped suntan from yesterday, especially on my exposed nose, but seemed to have got away with it. It certainly was hot, as we too usually use the factor 30 or better. (Still have some 60 hanging around from when I was bald)
The new surface on the Whetherby to Spofforth ride is quite nice, though I wonder if its the stuff you sink into when its wet. They've only done the Whetherby end, though most of the path has a made up surface. There's only one dirt section in the middle. There were a lot of people out on the path yesterday.
