I'm up to around 4 miles a day, walking and light jogging. Been doing it
for 2 months and it's great. My whole body feels great. Except for my

    feet.

I've always had sensitive soles, but the ball of the foot is almost raw in
pain. Just not used to exercise.

Just wanted to add that socks are important too. Is the pain from standing
    or possibly rubbing?
I usually wear a thin pair with a thicker pair over them - old Boyscout
hiking trick. There's also WrightSocks, which are double layered, and I was
just looking at EuroSox in the Harrington catalog that have more padding
    under the ball.
Socks are almost as high-tech as shoes nowadays. :-)
