    Yep.

So, anyway--I am using Thunderbird as a newsgroup reader, and I tried to
set up some filters, because there's some posters that I don't want to
    have to scroll through.
    ,,,,,,,
But my [censored] ain't working, what should I set Thunderbird to do to the
thread? I tried "delete message" but over a couple days it's become
obvious that this setting doesn't work. I'm trying "ignore message" now,
but if that still leaves the bothersome posts there, that's no help either.

Even spam [censored] like Mr MI5-victims still show up, when nobody else even
    responds to them.

If I have it set to not show me this [censored], then these messages should be
"not appearing", right? But they are all still there.

I don't understand what Thunderbird filtering is supposed to actually
/do/...... or is it a sad piece of work that does not function?
    ????

My Thunderbird method : I have one filter for all spammers and irritants
as soon as I realize that a poster is annoying they get into the filter
set for sender is insert -email here- and delete message. This is pretty
effective as long as people don't respond to the original post.

old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without
shocking the entire community. ~Ann Strong
