We thought about it a lot but as we were on the move, had supplies and
phone contact with the others we thought it would be overkill. If the
weather been rough we would have called them straight away. You are
right about the mountain being tougher than us. My new riding rule is
'if it looks dodgy - don't do it'. If I publish it then people might
yell it at me when I'm about to do something stupid.
