    What an interesting array...

    I do like the size of the iButton but it would
    seem that to get a reading whilst out on a
    walk will mean carrying a laptop :-) Perhaps
    I could write some code for my Palm...

    Hmmm... now there is a thought...

    The DS1921 is a better bet than the DS1920 that the link was posted to
    since it can be set up to take temp readings at regular times. There's
    a maximum of 255 hour intervals (I forget the min interval) and it can
    store and store the 2048 most recent readings so you can download
    datestamped temp reading after your trip.

    RS do (or used to do) a complete kit containing everything you need
    including PC software for around a ton IIRC.
