Man, I thought I've seen some odd things in the gym from lifting in
flip flops to unusual "exercises" but today took the prize. Someone
left a skid mark on the bench and I was the fortunate one to find it.
I sat down on the bench and leaned forward to stretch and noticed the
distinct aroma of [censored]. Still makes me cringe when I think about
it. I told the lady at the desk that she may want to disinfect the
bench. Someone must've really needed a ass wiping.

Never experienced that, but I did have the misfortune while I was playing
football in college to be spotting (incline bench) for our left tackle
(biggest guy on team - 6'7 and 330lbs) when his effort to make one more lift
combined with his tequilla and tacos from the night before were cause for
him to loose control of a few key muscles. After I pulled the bar off him
(I presume it's hard to push when your bottom end gives out) we cleared the
gym rather quickly. That bench didn't get used again for quite some time.
