so sorry about your mom. did she not write any of her
    recipes
down? my mom is 80 & i'm working on collecting her
    specialties (& my dad's too!)

I had many of them but not this one and a few others. She
died at 79 very suddenly so there wasn't much planning, if
you know what I mean. Your recipe sounds about right!
Thanks sooo much! I will try it out and see. 🙂

oh, i hope so. i'm working on my mom & aunt to get more of my
grandmother's recipes. she just celebrated her 100th birthday.
her short term memory is bad (she doesn't recognize my son &
she thinks i'm my aunt) but her long term memory is still good
& i *really* want her stories & recipes written somewhere.

Good luck. I bugged my Mom for *years* to write hers out - but most of
them I got by calling her and asking, "How do I make XYZ?" I wonder
how many familial specialties are lost each year when people pass?
    What a loss of culture!
