i saw one guy running in the adidas one, and have never seen anyone yet in Free shoes....if I could find a pair for $40 or so...I'd given a spin.... One can always pick up a pair of cheap flats and use those instead. The Nike Waffle XC is the most barebones shoe I've seen, goes for under $40.
