I've been front squatting ass to the floor every week for about a
month now. My knees constantly ache but it's only slight and they
feel more numb than anything for the most part.

I would suggest trying some neoprene knee sleeves if you haven't
already. They are totally unlike wraps (very very little assistance in
the lift) but very good at keeping the joints warm and stable. They
were a life-saver during my foray into 20 rep squats.

    But, between the
rehab and the front squats, my abs and lower back muscles are like
    steel cords now.

    I can imagine. Good luck!

The noprene sounds like a good idea. I'd be concerned about the knee
pain I think. It would be a drag to cause a knee injury just to avoid
aggravating a rib injury. Why do they hurt more with front squats
    anyway?

I don't know why they hurt more. ATG squats have always bothered my
knees more. I do have a bad left knee that gets aggravated more than
    the other one.

    I have a pair...somewhere. I've thought about wearing them.
