Re: RTL - When will they stop rubbing it in the faces of those who aren't going?

I never liked lobster and not just because of the whole trayf thing.

But the fact that we lost several regular Unithon riders to RTL hasn't
made them any fonder to my heart.

You wouldn't have seen them if they were along anyway, other than at the
beginning. For the same reason I haven't made an effort to ride with
other people when doing my RTL training, except for my few meet-ups
with the Bay area riders who are doing the same. None of the local
riders could keep up, and if I slowed down for them it wouldn't be very
good training.

BTW I'm also not crazy about (eating) lobster. Maybe it's better when
it's fresher!

Sorry to all the people who "chose poorly." I gave it a lot of thought.
But I knew this was going to be an unprecedented event, and even though
long road rides are not my thing, I've decided to take whatever skills
I have from a long history of short track racing and apply them as best
I can.
