Anyway, where were we? Ah, yes, Blackpool. We managed to extricate ourselves from the mire by dint of following the signs for Lancaster, until I spotted the "L Moorland Road (easy to miss)" turning, thus making the navigational score 2-1 in my favour. More mostly flat and very wet roads out to the Glasson Dock cafe control (510 km). Pat absorbed a portion of fish'n'chips bigger than his head, while I made do with a dinky little sausage'n'egg bap, with the odd chip for good measure. By the time we prepared to leave, it had stopped raining.

My first SR, and a National Series one to boot. I was this:
happy. And much more so after receiving a big hug from Blonde :-)
Aw, me too! My first SR Series, my first 600, completed and really enjoyed almost all of it! me happy! :- )
I must say you were looking remarkably attractive after 604K and two hours sleep as well, unless it's just that I'm getting far too used to being surrounded by sweaty, knackered cyclists, but I thought that even the Larrington hair was looking as stylish as ever!

It had just been washed on the way up Blackstone Edge, and blow-dried coming back down to Mytholmroyd :-)
