Mercury poisoning would not produce peripheral neuropathy of the feet as
an isolated symptom. You'd see lots of other symptoms as well, before
the neuropathy. An isolated neuropathy of this kind suggests arterial
disease, and especially diabetes mellitus, particularly in younger
    patients.

Mercury produces many different symptoms in different people. It can
    cross
every barrier in the human body and affect every enzymatic and neural
    system. Many factors
are involved including how and where it is absorbed in the individual,
Individual ability to exctrete mercury, Yes percentage of organic
absorption, a persons genetic weak links and so on. Yes many people
who are mercury toxic experience many different symptoms. However
chronic mercury posioning is a progression and the first symptoms that
people experience are usually different. I defy you to list a standard
symptom progression in mercury posioning. You can't

The elemental mercury in amalgam is not significantly toxic.

First something called bacteria loves to sit near the amalgam.
    Bacteria
has a high tendency to recur near a filling. In many
cases people have actually had the surface above the amalgam liquified
by bacteria. Bacteria can also burrow into the amalgam.
Mercury from amaglam certainly can combine with this bacteria. Mercury
    also
is abosorbed in the stomach and cycles through the gut where it can
    combine
synergistically with bacteria there forming a more toxic form of the
    compound.
So your statement that mercury from amalgam is not toxic is just plain
    wrong.

Secondly there is a wide range in the mercury level emmited from
amalgam including factors such as (is it next to gold), did the the
dentist spike the amalgam with hg to make it easier to work with,
individual biochemistry, immune response, saliva acidity, oral
    galvanisim and and so on.

Finally the statement elemental mercury in amalgam is not
    significantly toxic
is just plain wrong. This is really the bottom line on this list.
"Mercury isn't really toxic". Wrong!!!, mercury always has been and
    will continue to be
one of the most toxic elements on the face of the earth. Any amount of
    mercury
can have long and short term affects on health.

I hope you are not a doctor, but this is a common and extremley
misguided sentiment among doctors. Yes many people experience a
toxicity affect from amalgams that does not obviously affect health,
    but
carefully done studies always show negative affects from amalgam.
    Remember
all those years that cigratte smoking was not "proven to be harmful".
    It
wasn't proven to be safe either!! If you develop lung or stomach
    cancer 20 years
from now, how do you know what caused it?

Just go to pub med and spend a day looking up amalgams. Ignore the
self serving unscientific studies done in the dental journals. You
    will be shocked.
Remember, there is no proven safe level of mercury exposure.

It surprises me especially when I see Mercury amalgum AND Gold in
the same mouth...the Mercury will eventually surround the Gold and cause
it to drop out. ( In Mining, Mercury is used to "collect" colloidal Gold and
amalgamate it. thus reducing looses in Gold mining. Even I made that mistake?
( or rather my last dentist did as I lost three Gld fillings and the depleted silver
fillings disintegrated. a LOSS in both directions. I am about to opt for NEW
teeth of artificial Enamel. What a PAIN!! B-0b1

  3. Is this from personal observation or hearsay?
