Its just Beau and Nathan riding, no third rider.
Check the wordpress blog at 'www.ridethelobster'

weekend.

O man thats nuts!!! I'm really really impressed at how well The
Masticating Bunnies are doing.

This whole race is really exciting, and the blips that the GPSes seem
to be having, makes it even crazier.

Looks like it's been an epic battle most of the day between the Team
NZUNI and the German Speeders. VERY fun to watch.

Go Puget Sounders!!!

I just realised that alot of the GPSes are out of date, if you click on
the team it sais the time of the last update, and for a lot of them it
was a long time ago. So we really have no idea of who is truly in first
or not. Quite likely there is a big group together at the front.

If you look at the team details, a lot of them haven't updated since
about noon. It sais the time of that position on every team.

Even if you refresh it won't change, it is only changing on a couple
teams.

Its been half an hour since team NZuni updated and almost an hour since
the German speeders updated.

Flirt hasn't updated since 10:20 and Yellow line fever hasn't updated
since 12:30ish

Yeah, it would be great it there was a way to sort by the update time..
it's a pain to how to mouse over all of them to see when the last update
was to get a feel for if their race position is accurate or not.

Even if it wasn't that up to date, as long as I got an idea, like if we
could find out where all the teams were at ten in the morning or
something like that.

Its especially hard when you are trying to follow specific teams.

Can't we easily tell who's ahead simply by looking at the oval icons of
each team, and where they are on the map?

Not all of those icons are up to date. Most of them haven't been
updated in hours.

I want to say that the top three teams are the only ones regularly
updated, but it is quite likely that they might not be the only ones up
there.

Especially since some of the teams that are right in the pack are
updating.

My guess that there is a battle for first/second between the german and
the NZ teams, then texacali is definitely up there, but there are a
bunch of power teams that haven't updated since this morning.

Terry, I have to say you are right. I saw the lead ride r(German
Speeder) go across the causeway at 2:14 Atlantic Standard time. I saw
him coming on the Google Earth map and just got there in time because I
live about a 5 minute drive away on my 10 speed. There may be technical
issues, but as of 4:17 AST, it is Texacali by 2KM, then Personal Roller
Coaster, Team NZUNI, Totally Doable in a kind of clump.
Team Venture and the Surley Speed Goats are next, then a whack of teams
doing a 500 foot, pretty extreme climb. There is also a northeast
headwind which on the road teams will travel over the next hour ( the
ones behind, I mean(Texacali is already down in the flat and has 22 km
of riverside flatness to traverse.) There is weather coming and the Bay
of Fundy, along which the following teams will have to ride, are likely
not having such a good time with it.

It is my judgment after living in this area for twenty five years that
whatever you see on the route maps is accurate. We have no
communication with individual teams so that I may post it. We are
putting out fires here, but some will just have to burn.

Why not call the Annapolis Inn where most teams are staying in about 90
minutes? Then you'll know.
We have confidence in the tech, make sure to refresh often. We're just
learning here.

Best,
william
