I want to restore a tent which has been around - England Wales Scotland
California and Arizona. First I want to replace the tent poles (fibre
glass sticks with elasicated cord down middle). A couple of sections
are cracked and broken. Can you buy them somewhere?Secondly the groundsheet is a weave (fibre glass I think) with some
coating like a PVC paint. In places the coating is pretty worn thin,
and I'd like to re-surface it. Is it possible to buy a suitable paint?TIA
Millets and Yeomans sell replacement poles. Take along a section
of your old pole as they vary by diameter. As for painting your
groundsheet, it sounds very dubious. Unless it's a backpacking tent
for which weight is an issue, I'd pick up a cheap groundsheet, cut it
to size and pitch it under your tent.
