Want to replace my Trek road bike seatpost with a carbon one. Any
    recommendations?

I like my Easton EC70. It does have 25mm of setback. There is either
some actual damping with a carbon post, or it changes the frequency of
the vibration. I noticed it when I went over a wooden slat bridge. if
money hadn't been a consideration, I would have bought the Easton
    EC90.

They say new on the EC70&90, but I think it is just new lengths, the
road posts, used to be 250mm, now are 300. They also now have one with
    no setback.
