Why don't you like the way you look in a bathing suit? I really can't see
what you're looking at.Quoted message said:Quoted message said:

Is perfection really what you want? I believe you have unrealistic
expectations. It's seriously not worth "going under the knife". I can't get
the crisply defined six pack of a 20 year old anymore, because of loose
skin. It's like the difference between a 4.0 and a 3.8 in college. How much
more do you have to do to get the 4.0? Is it worth it? At which point does
the law of diminishing returns kick in? If you have a sane and consistent
exercise and diet plan in place that you're following, then you're doing
what you can do without going crazy over it. Another thing to think about:
in today's society, you're already in the top ten percent. Pat yourself on
the back.

Hi JC,
At my age (42) I should be past the point of expecting perfection. It's not
that I want a perfect body, but I do want to look the best I can look. Growing
up in the generation that gave us Barbie and Twiggy it's hard to have a
positive body image. Here in LA, Hollywood to be exact, I really don't feel
like I'm in the top ten percent.
I also realize there is more to a person than appearance and do try to focus on
the positive aspects of my life and not dwell so much on my imperfections. I
will take your advice about having a "sane and consistent exercise and diet
plan" and stop obsessing so much. I'm sure I'll feel better about myself for
acheiving the best I can be through hard work rather than through surgery.
