is nothing that you gain by going quickly, as you have a lifetime of
dieting ahead of you, anyway.i
I lost alot of pounds in a week and a half. I am thinking I lost them pounds
too fast. Been feeling dizzy myself. Going to try upping the carbs, to where I
do not feel so dizzy.
There must be something in the air. I've been suffering with a bout of
labrynthitis (vertigo) for several days, Saturday being the worst. Unlike the
rest of you, I don't have to guess where it comes from -- I've had to put up with
it off and on for about 20 years now. It doesn't happen THAT often, but often
enough so that it's QUITE familiar -- I can tell as soon as I wake up when I've
got it. I move my head side to side and then try to focus on something -- if it
takes a split second for my eyes to catch up to what they are looking at, I've
got my diagnosis. At one point I was referred to the California Ear Institute to
be tested because of it. What came out of it was that I have a 70% loss of
balance in my left ear, probably due to a virus. Usually it's fairly mild, but I
try not to drive when it hits. This last Saturday when I woke up with it,
though, was the WORST bout I've had in about 15 years -- I was having trouble
READING because of it. It also can make me feel kind of seasick. Oh well, at
least I could still stand up without tilting relatively okay, which I could NOT
do with the memorable bout of 15 years ago. I've been fighting off some sort of
low-level "upper-respiratory icky-poo" (my personal technical term for it) for
almost 2 weeks, so I'm sure it's related to being run-down in some way, allowing
the labrynthitis to spin up (so to speak). I HAVE been running a slight fever
and feeling like [censored] since Saturday, although the dizziness is mostly gone, so
it's hard to say if the labrynthitis is part of the cause or effect.
I hate it when this happens. I'm such a "delicate flower" and succumb so EASILY.
I have to stop exercising when I start feeling wiped out and then, whether I
actually get sick or not, it always takes 2-4 weeks before I can get back to it
again (otherwise I'll end up with a relapse). Oh well, you just have to work
with what you got and deal with it accordingly.
