I've been to Castle Acre, once, many moons ago. A pleasantly quaint little old village with a nice medieval arch, if I recall correctly. I had lunch at the Ostrich Inn. It wasn't all that good. Sounds like your teashop would have been just the ticket if I'd known about it.
The tea shop I used was at the other end of the street to the Ostrich and on the opposite side of the road.
