  1. I went cycling with my dad (I act as his domestique) and a few of hi
pals, I think I lowered the average age of the bunch by about 30 years

Anyway, one of the geezers on the ride was from Norway - he spok
excellent English - and was telling us about how he enjoys cycling i
the snow with specially adapted snow-tyres on his bike

Apart from the manky weather (it was like cycling through fog for th
whole ride) the only downer was my seat pin coming loose during a smal
climb. My saddle canted backwards just as I sat back down and nearl
caused me to do an impromptu "wheelie" - much to the amusement of th
old guys (whom I strongly suspect loosened it in the first place in
    moment of devilry)

Great fun. It's when you have ridden most of the way up something very steep
and slippery, then decided that this is silly and you would be better off
walking, only to find that you can't stand up and so end up sliding down the
    hill with the bike.

    ho hum what fun!
