    What those three wrote isn't wrong per se: soy beans DO contain high
    phytate-
    and phytate does block double positive charged ions (Ca2+, Mg2+,
    Fe2+,Zn2+,..)- but thats raw soybeans.

    Phytates are water soluable and its a very common practice to have beans in
    water (and / or cook them in it) before you use them; this will reduce the
    phytate content significantly (if the water is discarded).
    And, as you mentioned, phytates do not necessarily have to be a bad thing.

    Other components of soy might however be a different story.
