    East-West is no problem on Oxford St, it is two way, and during the
    day there is a ban on cars, so you only have to contend with buses and
    taxis.

    On the other had, St Mary Axe is one way (north), so approach it from
    Leadenhall St, except the top bit between Camomile and Houndsditch
    which is one way the other way (south). I work at no 63 SMA :-)

    And pedestrians, who are far and away the biggest menace on Oxford Street...

    Which, of course, means that it is the only street in Central London
    that stayed as bad as it ever was after the congestion charge came in
