    Anyone here done it, doin' it, planning???

    I am very interested in brewing ur own... Carla isn't down with any
    potential smells.. Afraid the Landlord might have kittens...
    I was thinking about this Bag in a box thing for my first foray...

    I consider beer no more off topic than Cytomax...

    I've been an all-grain brewer for years. (Took a hiatus while in NYC
    because there was just no way to do it in that tiny little apartment
    ;-). I'm all set up now with a second fridge, keg system, the works.
    Got a nice batch of brown ale in the fermenter as we speak. Next up is
    an abbey-style Belgian.

    * Buy Charlie Papazian's "Joy of Homebrewing"
    * Check <http://brewery.org>

    You can get going making some excellent beer with a pretty inexpensive
    setup:

    * 7 gal HDPE bucket for a fermenter, drill a hole in the lid for an
    airlock.
    * 20 qt brew pot.
    * Bottle capper.
    * Thermometeter and (optional, but nice) specific gravity tester.
    * Big spoon.

    We should chat out of band.

    No joke, what's wrong with that? I drink Cytomax when I'm riding and beer on

    I've missed the OP of this thread, but I must say, that home brews have been
    some of the finest drinking I've ever done. Occasionally though, I've tasted
    some that was just downright nasty..
