It was a terrible thing and it should never happen again. It's good to remember what happened every year if for no other reason that to help ensure that it doesn;t happen again but laying blame is not what this is all about. Or it shouldn't be.
I agree with this. I wasn't trying to comment on whether it was a good idea or a bad idea to engage in war, engage in this war, or choose to use the bomb in this way. I really wasn't. I was trying to point out that the results were sad. Worth avoiding when possible. Ghastly in proportion. War is bad. Even just wars, even necessary wars.
