Just wanted to say thanks to all those who posted - some very good advice particularly:-
1) position - no i haven;t got that quite right
2) tyres - will invest in some new ones methinks
3) low gearing - yes i do have a tendency to struggle on in the same gear rather than change
down and make it easier - think it's a hangover from my childhood days when 5 gears was all
you got :-)
