As a navigation aid in poor weather an old fenceline can be followed
from just north the footbridge at NN188928 up the East side of the gully
to Bealach an Easain and thence through the summits of Meall na Eilde
Meall Coire nan Saobhaidh and Geal Charn. A fine highish level walk
with a grand 360° view over all the ranges in the area.

A good walk indeed. I don't have the map in front of me but IIRC the
old fence line is not marked on 1:50000 and only shows up on Pathfinder
or equivelant. I made a bad nav error in a whiteout leaving Meall Na
H-eilde a few years ago and incorrectly descended a lot of the way toward
Loch Garry. A naive mistake and one that I wouldn't make these days but
    a good learning experience.

A lot of the 1:25k fences have gone now. I found some missing on the
Balmaha Beinn Bhreac and also Beinn an t-Sidhein this week. Still
worth having a glance at getamap before going out for fence hints
    though.
