  1. I'm with you on that one. You're only as old as you feel. I rode 8
    miles last night at an average of 7.1 mph with three rest stops (only
    one was planned) on a 28" Sun. The only problem was some lower back
    discomfort - probably bad posture.

    Back to the question of age. I did my last standing back flip on my
    50th birthday October 25th, 1996. (Okay there is a point where you get
    too old to do some things).

    I still compete as both a snowboarder and as a skier. At the NASTAR
    Nationals in Park City this past Easter I was the only competitor out of
    1000+ to compete in both disciplines. I took the Gold in snowboarding
    and finished 10th in Expert Skiing in my age group.

    The body doesn't seem to bounce back as quickly from the mishaps but
    that's no reason to give up these great pursuits.
