I learned to ride in 1961 when I was 10 and rode through high school.
Then, like many others...a looonngg layoff--I'm 54 this summer. This
year I got a Torker LX 24 and have ridden nearly every day since. Just
returned from a 3 mile ride to post this. Forward riding and freemount
are no problem...want to learn to idle--never did as a kid. Hopping is
new, that looks fun too.
Am looking at my next ride as the 114 cranks on my 24" give me a sense
that tells me speed is attainable. Will probably look for a 29" cross
country with short cranks but am afraid to discount a Coker in the
longer term as a commuter.
Have not tried Muni but look forward to trying it.
