I saw a Red LeCreuset 7 1/4 qt. round dutch oven today for $130 (normally
$220) and I was going to buy it. It was labeled "seconds" by LeCreuset and
did not come in a box. Other than a very slight flat spot on the otherwise
round edge of the lid, I could see no other imperfection. Does anyone know
what they mean by "seconds"? Slight imperfection I assume. If it's that I
am going out later to pick it up as it seems a good bargain.

Seconds are generally products that have a cosmetic flaw that doesn't alter
the way the product is supposed to work. Sounds like an excellent deal--I'd
    get it.

  2. Run back to that store and buy it NOW before someone else does. That's
an excellent deal. I have a Le Crueset oval baking pan that I use for
just about EVERYTHING. They are wonderful cooking utensils. my baking
dish is now so splattered, that you can barely tell what color it used
to be, so that little cosmetic imperfection will become less and less
of an issue as you use that dutch oven. =o)
