Quoted message said:Re: Moss/LaetrileActually I've thought about this and I will be fair and
honest with you.
Someone is quoting your quackwatch article on Laetrile and stating that 6
cancer institutions failed to replicate the work done in Sloan by
Dr. Kanematsu Sugiura, who incidently was one of the the worlds most
respected researchers in that field, in the prevention of mouse metastasis
by the action of amygdalin.
I am saying that there is no evidence (or lab reports) on the quackwatch
site to back that statement up.
My argument is, that there is current work (references on pubmed) into
amygdalin style reactions. If this substance was useless as it is quoted,
then why are people researching into it? (If you can supply clear evidence
that amygdalin is useless in metastasis prevention in mice then that would
be enough to settle this issue)
Regards,
Anth
Nothing will ever end the "argument" about laetrile.
It's possible that the author of the review article can identify
them, although the article was written so long ago that he may noi
longer have the informatiomn handy
