This is a question for doctors, not NG folks like us. My guess is exercise has zero effect of kidney disease.

Of course. I don't know about 'direct' impact to the kidneys, but in a huge variety of indirect ways it would benefit your kidney function (blood sugar, weight control, blood pressure, etc. etc. etc.)
