How many of you monitor your diet with the use of ketosis strips?
Think of the sticks as training wheels. Many can learn to
recognize their own ketosis without the sticks. The sticks
tell you whether you are or aren't in ketosis and from that
you can learn the smell. Since the smell fades after a
couple of weeks it's important to focus on it early on.
Once it fades some cna still tell and they never need the
sticks again, training wheels no longer needed. Once it
fades others can't tell any more and they still need to use
the sticks.

This translates into two things:
1) You are in ketosis. The sticks aren't accurate enough
for estimiates like moderate to really have any meaning.
2a) You are still in the first two weeks and they have
not done their standrd issue week three fading towards
light yet. Or
2b) You are farther down into the plan and you have not
been drinking enough water.

Simple reason: A positive test for ketones (trace or
darker with darker not better because the sticks aren't
accurate enough for darker to actually mean more ketones)
mans your body is burning mostly fat for its fuel. If
your goal is losing fat (who doesn't have that as a goal)
then burning fat is good.
