I have a Archos Jukebox (fairly heavy) and looking for a good
belt-type pack for the unit. Has anyone found a pack that works well
with minimal bounce, and comfortable for an hour of running?
    Thanks

Consider getting an inexpensive solid-state player instead. I got this
    Rio Sport model for $60:

It's small, lightweight, has a stopwatch, and a backlight for those
    early/late runs.

Most importantly it's cheap enough to replace after a year. Working out
is tough on electronics! Constant bumps and dust, salty sweaty fingers,
surprise rain showers, and a high risk of falling out of whatever is
holding it. Solid state is tough, and failing that it's still cheap.

A heavier, more expensive, hard drive model banging against your body
isn't really what you want, and the larger capacity isn't much benefit
unless you like to fiddle around with the controls while you run. Save
the jukebox for everything BUT exercise.

  2. The hard drive in an Archos is the same as a hard drive in your laptop. It
cannot take the jarring of running. Get a solid state player.

  3. The Rio is an excellent idea! I do so love my iPod though. The one great
thing about the smaller iPod is the arm band.
