  1. Bad with regard to what? Any nutritional substance in excess or
limitation can lead to problems. The sugar known as "table" is a natural
substance found in many fruits and veggies, most of what we use from the
latter as either cane or sugar beets. "Table" sugar is a combination of
glucose and fructose, as is honey for example. As are all sugars the body
can use, except fructose, it is converted into glucose and is the
principle source of energy for the body. If it is in very short supply,
such as in starvation, protein and fat can be converted into a usable
version. The brain uses glucose directly and must have around 100 - 120 g
per day to function, the latter the cause of coma when a diabetic goes too
low in blood glucose. It is "bad" with regard to over consumption, in
which case it is converted into a lipid and stored as fat; which of course
are fat and protein also in excess of daily energy needs.

Sugar is bad... Well this is not completely true.
Some sugars are bad, but others are 100% essential!
People that claim "sugar is bad for you" are referring to table-sugar and
    not sugar in general

Sugar, in particular the eight monosaccharides (carbohydrates or sugars) of
    MANNOSE, FUCOSE, GALACTOSE, GLUCOSE, N-ACETYLGALACT0SAMINE,
N-ACETYLGLUCOSAMINE, N-ACETYLNEURAMINIC ACID and XYLOSE may be able to
assist you with your recovery of Asthama, ADD-ADHD, Hepatitis C, Rheumatoid
Arthritis, Osteoarthritis; Crohn's and Chronic Ulcerative Colitis,
Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, CFS, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, AIDS, Ecsema, Lupus
    and Toxic Shock Syndrome

For more information on the facts about the eight monosaccharides that are
absolutely, one-hundred percent, down-right essential for you ... and how
these can help you reach your optimal health ... please send us an email and
we'll send you a link where you can get all the information you need to make
your own "informed" decision about sugarsand your daily diet.

    Best wishes

You really are a nut if you are comparing refined sugar to "any
nutritional substance". Not a very smart view coming from a diabetic.
But then maybe that is what lead you to your condition in the first
    place.
