Anyone with experience with this? Am thinking that it would work
well for wok cooking considering as I have an electric range.

Prolly work better if you had a induction range. As induction cooking
works from a magnetic field generated by the "burner". I have a small
induction hotplate. It works well, gives a nice even heat. I feel it is
better than my electric range for fast, even, controlable heat. Only
drawback is having to use 'special' pots and pans. The pots and pans
must have a high content of magnetizable metal in them such as say cast
iron or steel. In other words if a magnet won't stick to your pot you
can't use it. You can't use aluminum cookware etc... Induction ranges
are pricy...round about 5 grand...hot plates are way cheaper $100 or
so...perhaps you should get a hot plate first to see if you like it.
