I think I did pretty well for my first day today.

For breakfast I had 3 poached eggs, 3 slices of bacon, 1/2 of an
avocado and a 16 oz glass of unsweetened ice tea. I always drink my
ice tea unsweetened, so I probably won't continue to use the word
unsweetened when posting about the ice tea I drink.

For a snack I had 6 oz of ham.

For lunch I had 1 cup of iceberg lettuce, 1 hard-boiled egg, 3 oz of
canned tuna, 1/2 of an avocado, 2 tablespoons of Italian dressing (no
sugar). I had 16 oz of water with my lunch.

For supper I had 1 cup of iceberg lettuce, 1/2 cup of raw cauliflower,
1 hard-boiled egg, 1 1/2 tablespoons of Italian dressing (no sugar)
and a 16 oz glass of ice tea.

I also drank my 2 quarts of water and I feel great. I actually felt
full after each of my meals and that somewhat surprised me. But, I
feel that I accomplished a great deal today by starting the diet. I
had made sure that I had plenty of the foods that I would need
beforehand so that it made it easier. But I will tell you people that
I have never had to pee so darn much in my life. My husband and I
also went for a walk and we walked for about 1 3/4 miles. I know it
isn't very much but it is a start. Right?

Sounds good! I HAVE read here that iceberg lettuce is not very
nutritious or even fibrous, so you might want to switch to romaine or
another kind of lettuce to get more bang for your buck. Also, go easy
on the avocados -- 1/2 a small avocado is allowed per day during
    Induction (see http://atkins.com/Archive/2001/12/15-464579.html for a
list of acceptable foods for Induction).

The peeing will slow down some after a few days :-)
