this bums me out. so, mr. hanson and whatever other pro-actively
"healthy" Minnesotans may be lurking out there... how do you feel
about this? seems like kind of an anti-fitness threat, if you ask

I don't own a handgun yet but I fully intend to get my cc permit this
time if the appeals court reverses the Ramsey court decision.

the old law? Is that where you have to show a reasonable need to carry?
Kinda. You have to state a purpose for the permit. Go get your
permit to purchase a pistol. You need that in Minnesota to buy a
pistol (unless you are a permit holder). It's either free or $5.00, I
don't recall. Anywho, it's the same form as the old permit to carry.
You just don't have to fill out the entire form if you just want it to
purchase a pistol.
Aren't you in Forest Lake? You should ask around and find out what
the police chief's view of citizens being able to carry. Being in
Forest Lake might be advantageous to you to apply under the old law.

Go to the old CCRN site and look up the hardcore members. They might
be able to give you some info on your police chief. I did say police
chief BTW. Under the old law, you applied to your chief. With the
new law, it was your county sheriff.
