So true. People can't be bothered to RSVP anymore. It seems to me
that most folks think that "RSVP" means saying yes, and that if they
aren't coming or aren't sure, they're not required to RSVP. For
cripes' sake, it means (translated) PLEASE RESPOND, not respond only
if you're attending!!!! I manage a LOT of programs for my university,
many of which honor people for various achievements. I've even had to
call up HONOREES and ask if they're going to attend! Casual age
indeed. Clodhoppers, I tell ya, you'd think they were raised by
wolves except that wolves have better manners!
