Quoted message said:As to Cyndi, I'm with you. My mother would have had me drawn and
quartered if I'd stood someone up like this. I believe she'd rather it
be said that I am an ax murderer and rude. Were I in Cyndi's shoes,
I'd be tempted to waltz into work on Monday and, when the (hopefully
inevitable) welluh, welluh, welluh excuses start drifting in, airily
proclaim that life is a series of learning experiences and I guess
what this experience taught me was that invitations issued at work
seem not to rise to the level of importance as invitations issued
outside of work, so I won't be making *that* mistake again.Or maybe I'd just let it slide - I'd have to work with these people
and, for some reason, when people have wronged you, they're more
likely to find that a reason to dislike you. Go figure.Terry "Squeaks" Pulliam Burd

My mom wouldn't have done that but she definitley would've been in shock!
Currently, I'm thinking I will simply respond with "You were missed" and
change the subject. I am 'Maverick' enough to not care what they think but
don't think kicking them in the teeth will be of any advantage. They'll
either regret what they did or they won't. Either way - it's done and won't
be done again!
Thank you for your very kind thoughts... I always enjoy hearing from you.
