[email hidden] (Rick & Cyndi)WROTE:
I was supposed to have several coworkers over for a brunch this a.m.
Several said they would stop through and there were a few definites that
were to be on time... well, 2 1/4 hours later - no calls and no shows.
:'(
Meanwhile, come on over - I have PLENTY of food...
Cheese Souffle
Hashbrown Casserole
Stuffed French toast w/ strawberries & cream cheese
Watermelon/Canteloupe/White Grape Fruit Basket Lemon-Poppy Seed
Mini-Muffins
Emeril's White Cheddar Grits
Coffee/OJ/Tea (iced & hot)
Dishes are done and the house smells obsenely good...
<sniff>
What sucks is staying up til 4 this morning getting everything prepped
and then back up after 8 to finish...
Oh well, their loss!!!!---------------------------------------------
RESPONSE: My B/F's sister had to learn the hard way also at her last job
who just were her friends and who just put on the show at work.
Hope this doesn't interfere with your working relations with these
people but I learned a long time ago you leave your problems at home &
leave your work where it belongs, count your blessings with true
friends. These co-workers should have been adult enough to tell you that
they weren't coming but I wouldn't cause a scene with them at work good
jobs are hard to find.

========Yep. You're right. I had hopes that this would add another dimension to
our relationships... It has, boy, has it ever. <snort>No biggie now. Lesson learned and won't happen again.
Thanks Tonya. I really like what I do and they aren't worth jeopardizing
it... Actually, they couldn't jeopardize it but I don't see any advantage to
trying to correct them or point out their faults. They wouldn't be able to
understand what I was saying/doing. That became crystal clear today.Cyndi
