menu sounds wonderful and it really is their loss, as others have said. I
like Barb's ideas!I'd really like to know what lame excuses they all come up with on
Monday. In the meantime, many thanks for the recipes - they all sound
great. I hope you find different, more appreciative, people to enjoy
them.Dora
==============Well... thankfully, I can ALWAYS depend upon you guys! I knew that if I
swallowed my emotions long enough to type out what happened that you would
be very supportive and sympathetic. What I didn't mention earlier was the reason for the Brunch... which is
why I've been all over the place emotionally. Most of you know that I support the American Heart Association's Heart
Walk each year (in memory of my Mom)... I had asked the various coworkers
if they wanted to be on my Walking Team... that I would like them to come
for Brunch and to discuss this year's Heart Walk... "everyone" said they
were interested and could understand the importance... blah, blah, blah...This is one event that I pour my 'heart' into and that's what makes this
doubly upsetting... time, energy, money (food), etc., and the emotional
background for doing it to begin with. On top of all this, my ex-step
mother's husband (whom I adore) is turning 70 this weekend and went 3
hours out of town to celebrate - had I known nobody could have attended I
could have had the brunch another time and went to the celebration! Now
it's too late to get there in time! That pisses me off more than
anything!Cyndi Irritated
That's dreadful. You're more than irritated, you are very hurt. No
wonder. Knocking yourself out preparing all that great food was one thing,
but what you gave up to do it was the final straw, in my book. I hope word
gets around to all those jerks.
