Or so you thought anyway. Some people just cant tell when it happens
(and I'm not saying thats the case with you), while I am
ultra-sensitive to most things (I'll find out soon whether or not thats
the case with blood sugar!). My mother is diabetic. One time I called
her up and she was obviously not well, she was confused, and not making
any sense at all. She insisted that she was fine, but I called an
ambulance because I was afraid she had had another stroke. When they
arrived she tried to beat the paramedics off with her cane, insisting
that nothing was wrong. They took her to the hospital and tested her-
her glood glucose was in the mid-30', she hadnt eaten or taken her
medicine, and she probably would have been unconcious (or worse)
shortly if I hadnt called.
