You cannot diagnose yourself with hypoglycemia if you do not use a
blood sugar meter. I would consider your self diagnosis to be suspect
until you either get a doctor to diagnose it, or use a blood sugar
    meter to get convincing results.

I agree--but no doctor has ever offered to test me, and I have little
desire for a 3 day fast in a hospital, or a Glucose Tolerance test that
has limited usefulness anyway. Thats why I am going to test it myself,
    when I have symptoms

a hypoglycemia attack. I measured my blood sugar after my low carb
half marathon, just for the kicks, it was 59, which was rather
low. And yet. I was fine.

A sensible thing to do would be to exercise less intensively, but
longer, and get a blood sugar meter. You may discover, for example,
that you are a full blown diabetic, or close. Get some post meal

A good idea. I have been tested for diabetes in the past, but I know I
am at risk of developing it. Thats one of the reasons I started
    running.

With a blood sugar meter, you have freedom to measure whatever you
want, whenever you want (with limited accuracy).

A glucose tolerance test is easy: you buy glucose tablets (sold
everywhere), drink sweet water with 75 grams of glucose, and keep
    track of your blood sugar.

Never heard of that GTT-do you have a reference for that? But I did buy
a meter today and have started testing.

Would only makes sense to measure your blood sugar, throughout the
day, then. If your blood sugar goes over 200, at any time, and you
have some repeated measurements of that, you are a diabetic according
to the criteria (another one is blood sugar above 125 in the

    morning).

I dont think I'm diabetic, but I dont want to become one either. I will
have a better idea what I am and what I'm not though, now that I have
    the meter.

For what to do with your test results see:

While written for people with diabetes it will give you an idea of what
to look for even if that isn't your problem.

Sounds diabetic to me. See a doctor...
