Hang your balls on this DA73: Vaughters was not the only other one on the team that year, it could have been : Tyler Hamilton George Hincapie Kevin Livingston Christian Van de Velde Hincapie is not a retired cyclist. Also, he would not currently be on Discovery if he were not still a "believer" in the system. If Armstrong ever found out he were even speaking to Andreau, he'd be off the team immediately. He'd never risk it. No way is it Hamilton. A NY Times reporter would never agree to let HIM be an anonymous source when he himself is such a part of current doping news. That's too juicy to pass-up. It would need to be a non-news guy. It going to be: Vaughters, Livingston or Van de Velde. Who is Frankie tightest with?...Vaughters. You don't think the story originated with Andreau? Frankie probably put the reporter in touch with people on Postal whom he is still friends with. I say it is Vaughters. Vaughters is actively working in cycling, in a capacity where he would have some negative consequences if directly quoted. He has proactively gone on-record for being very anti-dope, and the others have not.

Or, informing on non-dopers to get ahead anyway. An accusation
is a sticky, distracting thing, whether it is true or now.

As much as I think Vaughters is doing a disservice to his riders I would bet he hasn't touched any substances. While he was a pro, he knew he had plenty to fall back on, unlike many of the others. He preaches to his riders that you can be the best without drugs. It simply isn't the case. It won't happen. These guys are missing out on going to college at the age when their peers are having fullfilling collegiate lives.

Didn't Frankie just rat out himself? Why the big reaction from LA, JB, and
the Walking Conflict of Interest? Did he hit a nerve?
