The hammer punch combo really doesn't seem to be budging it. My hunch is in favor of working the arms to munch the remaining pin THEN try hammer-punch again. Think the arm-working on a 1/3 of a pin might do the trick to loosen it slightly to allow the hammer-punch to work? That's my hope now.
I would make sure the arms are aligned before trying final removal. Right now they LOOK like 180. I hope eyeballing is good enough. I suppose I could run a straight-edge thru there to really be sure.
I don't think I've enlarged the arms or hurt the spindle.
