How many wrecks do I need to qualify as a real cyclist?

If it takes a certain number of wrecks, I'll never make it. I've had
one moving on-road fall in over 30 years of adult cycling.

Tip: Watch where you put your front wheel. Keep it on the smooth
    stuff with good traction.

Some people tempt the 'flat-gods'. Frank tempts the 'fall-gods'. <shakes
    head>

I have to admit the more I ride and the better bike handling the more
likely it seems that you're right...but ya know, as I'm getting better at
my bike handling, I'm also finding that I'm pushing the edge, for instance
cornering more sharply - thing is I don't like that! <g> It's hard to help
it - I'll catch myself doing a smooth move and then I'll say 'hey - stop
    that!'. ;-)

Did I mention biking is fun? The other day I encountered a small dog on the
way out to my route - it was on a downhill so I didn't really worry too
much, but I was a bit anxious about returning that way - it's really the
easiest way to get back home but it's a 200yd uphill after a long false
flat and for some reason it really gets to me! ;-/

So here I am on the last lap and getting quite annoyed at the thought of
having to contend with this dog...so like the brilliant person I am, I take
the high road - which is up the steepest hill on my route. Well half the
way up it I'm expecting the worst - the thighs start to burn a little - but
to my surprise it never got any worse. Wow, I'm getting in better shape.

Heh-heh, well after that I had to celebrate - so again, Mr. Brilliant, I go
back out to find another little hill. Man...that was great!!!

I get home and my wife is standing in the front yard and I jump off the
bike and hand it to here, and say 'here....quick....hold....this....', then
immediately fall over in the front yard like Arte Johnson, laughing like
some kind of demented fool. wow. A few minutes later, I jump in the shower
with my clothes on and yeah, my helmet was still on too...lol. (I did take
    my shoes off, though).
