    Oh come on, back peddling are we. Your previous posts made much of the
    assertion that animals eating grain allowed more meat intake and the rise
    of complex cultures, when in fact grain was not an animal food and in fact
    no difference in meat intake can be deduced as being different then when
    hunting and gathering was the mode of production. In fact, it is the
    common view that less meat was eaten, the animals were valued for
    traction, milk, hair and wool, hides, and other products as much as
    anything. Meat is an expensive product in terms of energy input compared
    to energy out and the great population increases were based on the greater
    energy from grains.
