Okay! I thought someone might have actually used the Infinity. I haven't
but I have seen it and tried it on and used other GoLite packs. The
Infinity looks very good and I know from using the Gust and the Trek
that GoLite packs are well made. What sort of weight are you planning on
carrying? It could be that an even lighter sack like the Gust would be
    adequate.

I'm trying to gently wean myself off gear with all the whistles and
knobs and the Gust appears to be too drastic and minimalist a step to
take, compared to the Infinity which appears to be lghtweight yet well
    featured and stable.
My 15 year old Karrimor Jaguar 85L has served me well with 40+ lb
loads but I have gradualy cut down on weight and the pack is the next
    logical area to look at.
I can't be accurate but for 3/4 days camping out my pack would weigh
in at about 25 pounds without water, which would bring the max weight
for some stretches up to about 30 lbs.
I have found that the reduction in weight brings with it a
proportional increase in enjoyment of my surroundings, as I am more
comfortable and no longer trudge round with my head down like an
    overloaded mule.

I have to confess to being a gear freak and unless I received some
real horror story reviews, I had already made my mind up to get this
    pack.
I hope to do so within the next few weeks and I will then be glad to
    post a review.

    Steve
