I'm trying to gently wean myself off gear with all the whistles and
knobs and the Gust appears to be too drastic and minimalist a step to
take, compared to the Infinity which appears to be lghtweight yet well
featured and stable.
My 15 year old Karrimor Jaguar 85L has served me well with 40+ lb
loads but I have gradualy cut down on weight and the pack is the next
logical area to look at.
I can't be accurate but for 3/4 days camping out my pack would weigh
in at about 25 pounds without water, which would bring the max weight
for some stretches up to about 30 lbs.
I have found that the reduction in weight brings with it a
proportional increase in enjoyment of my surroundings, as I am more
comfortable and no longer trudge round with my head down like an
overloaded mule.
I have to confess to being a gear freak and unless I received some
real horror story reviews, I had already made my mind up to get this
pack.
I hope to do so within the next few weeks and I will then be glad to
post a review.
