I just looked, and you cannot even sign up yet for the streaming video.
Seems like they're running it mighty close, since the race starts in
only three days. (Of course, weekday stages don't start for five days;
I guess that's plenty of time.)
The site does say that all of the streaming video will be archived.
That's good, since I am on the US West Coast, and the stages will be
running before I even wake up in the morning. Also, normal TV coverage
times in years past were right when I like to go out and ride - but I
videotaped them anyway, so that I could watch later.
I'm also a bit miffed that OLN stopped showing the Vuelta, and said they
were going to stop showing the Giro. OLN used to be on "standard" cable
for me, but then it got moved to Adelphia's "Digital Cable", so I had to
pay extra for my cycling fix. I think that this announcement might
imply that OLN is going to give cycling one more chance. (I can't
believe it draws fewer viewers than the junk they show all the time -
killing Bambi, watching cowboys get stomped and gored, etc.)
I guess I'll throw my $6 in their direction, once they actually make it
possible for me to sign up and do so....
Can streaming video be saved on one's hard drive? If so, how is that
done? (If that is against the rules, I never asked this question.)
