I have heard so many opinion about how good vegetables are for low carbers, except the root vegetables.
However, there seems to be VERY different opinion from even the experts on how good they are for you once they are cooked. Some books I have read say that veggies are practically worthless unless you eat them raw and have lost virtually all of their nutritive value. And then on the other side of the coin, I recently read where Broccoli HAS to be cooked or the body can't absorb the nutrients. Any comments on this subject? Thanks!
The Warrior diet guy says cauliflower and broccoli are best lightly cooked, as the fiber doesn't release their nutrients unless they have been steamed or such. could be.
